Good News: Film Review

The end of the year 2019 is near and Akshay Kumar has come to make it better.  Akshay Kumar's film Good News is releasing on December 27 and we have brought a review for you.

'Children are the form of God', you must have heard this thing from many people every day. But to bring children into this world, how many hands and feet does God have to add, have you ever thought? God has given this quality to women but did not give it to everyone. But humans too did not give up and invented new techniques, so that they could get this price.

Story

The film Good News is the story of one such couple. Varun (Akshay Kumar) and Deepti Batra (Kareena Kapoor Khan) are a modern and hi-fi couple who live in Mumbai. These two are focusing on their careers and are also engaged in trying to have children.

Deepti Batra wants children and for Varun this matter remains a lot of trouble. Both have pressure on the family as well as being unable to become pregnant despite all the efforts of both of them is also troubling them. In such a situation, Deepti and Varun are advised to have children through IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) from their families.

Varun and Deepti go to the doctor to get the baby through IVF and at the same time their mixup is done with the other Batra couple ie Honey (Diljit Dosanjh) and Monika Batra (Kiara Advani). Now what will happen to these four and what will happen to their children, it is a matter to be seen.

Performance

Akshay Kumar has done a great job in Varun Batra's role. Kareena Kapoor Khan makes her good acting even better. The chemistry of both is amazing, which makes this pair a top class. Unlike Varun and Deepti, the happy couple of Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani is also worth watching. These two are always happy and absolutely crazy.

Diljit has played the character of Honey Batra well. His jokes, lunatics and anger are all good. Also, his dance is also worth watching. Kiara Advani has got a little less screen space than the rest of the actors, but has played her character well. In the character of Monica Batra, you will like Kiara's naivety and flirtatious style. Also, Kiara's tears will make your eyes moist.

Apart from these four main characters, Anjana Sukhani, Doctor Joshi's character Adil Hussain and Tisca Chopra have done a great job in the role of Akshay's sister. Apart from all these, all the actors have played their roles well.

Director

This is director Raj Mehta's first film and he has made it in a great way. From the IVF process to the emotions of the characters and every aspect of becoming a mother, Raj has highlighted. He has balanced the fun and emotions in his screenplay. The editing of the film is also very good, so that you do not feel drawn into this film. It has great jokes and dialogues that make you laugh a lot. The music of the film is also going to hit you at the right place and makes the screenplay better.

So overall it is a laugh and light film. If you want to enjoy a good weekend, you can go for the movie.
